Artist's Statement
In preparation and in the development of ideas form my artwork, I have investigated the impact on particular people who work in the automotive industry in Michigan. My research included interviews with several generations of industrial workers, tours of factories and visits to unemployment banks. My contact with these individuals revealed deep stresses in their professional and economic security. This current research informs my art work.
