Funding Source: Five percent (5%) of Ingham County hotel/motel room tax receipts, per Ingham County Board of Commissioners resolution.
Stresses: The production of publicity and promotional materials utilized to attract out-of-county visitors into Ingham County.
Eligibility: Non-profit arts and cultural organizations located in Ingham County established primarily for cultural, eductional, artistic, historical or entertainment purposes. Applicants must have non-profit status as evidenced by an Internal Revenue Service 501 (c)(3) letter of determination or a copy of the Articles of Incorporation as filed with the State of Michigan, Department of Labor and Economic Growth.
Grant Amount: The maximum grant for any one agency shall be no more than ten percent (10%) of the grant funds available for regranting. The total amount available to grant is usually around $70,000.
Application Availability/Deadline/Term: Applications are available the last day in January and are due February 29, 2012.
The funding period is January 1-December 31. Payments are disbursed for awards by quarter with quarters 1 & 2 in the same check followed by payment 3 in a separate check and payment 4 in a separate check after final reports are received.
