"Beautiful" an Exhibition by Anita Brett

The Arts Council is pleased to present "Beautiful" by artist Anita Brett. Anita works in oils, watercolor and encaustic and believes that beauty can be seen everywhere. Join us for an opening reception at the Arts Council on Sept. 8., from 5-8 p.m. at the Arts Council in Old Town Lansing during Arts Night Out! Come meet Anita, see her work and enjoy some refreshments.



Nominations for Applause Awards Now Open!

Nominate someone today! The aim of the Applause Awards is to recognize individuals, businesses, organizations and other advocates who have made significant contributions to the arts in the Capital Region through their leadership, commitment, vision and support. These awards are presented annually at our December Holiday Glitter event. Nomination deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 13.



Art in the Sky Billboard Project Call for Artists

See your art in the sky! Submit your work today for our annual billboard project in collaboration with Adams Outdoor Advertising! Each year more than six artists are chosen to have their work featured on billboards outside of Ingham County as way to attrack visitors to our region. Then the boards are moved into the Greater Lansing Region and circulate for months and even years to come. Deadline to apply is Sept. 24,2017.

Looking for public art and creative spaces in metro Lansing? Then the Arts Council's 517 ARTsearch is the app for you! Once it's downloaded and opened on your device, it will seek out and display all of the nearby public art, galleries and other creative spaces. Simply tap on what interests you, and you will get information regarding location, history, artists, etc. The app also uses google maps to take you directly to piece or place your are interested in! Get it on Google Play or download it from the Apple Store.
