2012-2013 "Call" for Outdoor Sculptures
4th annual "SculptureWalk Chelsea" / Downtown Chelsea, Michigan

Artists may submit up to 3 sculptures / Each artist selected will receive a $350 stipend

“SculptureWalk Chelsea” is an annual public arts project sponsored by the Chelsea Downtown Development Authority, the City of Chelsea, Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights, and River Gallery. 10 Sculptures will be juried into the exhibit and installed outdoor, on concrete pads in high profile locations in historic downtown Chelsea, Michigan. (Located 14 miles west of Ann Arbor) Online and print brochures will be provided to the public to inspire self-guided walking tours of the exhibit. Guided docent tours will also be available through the Chelsea District Library and River Gallery.
On the launch date of June 7, 2012, there will be a reception hosted by the River Gallery, sponsored by the community partners and will be a feature of the 8th annual “Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights,” an eleven-week outdoor summer musical event in the heart of downtown Chelsea. All work must be for sale and remain in the exhibit for the entire year (June 2012 - May 2013). Each artist will receive a $350 stipend. The postmark deadline for submissions is April 14, 2012.
