The Economic Impact of Arts & Culture in our Region
There is no question that Michigan's economy has hit the proverbial bump in the road and many sectors have felt its effect. Government has adjusted its spending by reducing and altogether eliminating line items from its budget. Businesses and foundations have had to modify their community giving programs due to increased giving requests, and individuals have had to make difficult decisions toward what causes they are able to contribute.

Arts Council of Greater Lansing to Invest in Region's Arts & Culture
By a unanimous vote from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing's board of directors at its May board meeting, and a nod of approval from its founders, the non-profit has decided to sell the Center for the Arts which it has owned and operated since 1975.
