Purpose
Organized in 1999, the purpose of the Capital City African American Association is to provide educational and recreational opportunities for Mid-Michigan citizens to experience African American arts, culture and history.

African American Parade and Family Reunion Picnic, highlighting African American arts and culture.
Dates and Locations
August 1, 2009 in downtown Lansing. Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reunion picnic at Ferris Park
