For Organizations
In keeping with our mission of leading, advocating for and advancing the arts in the capital region, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing (ACGL) provides a number of services for arts and cultural organizations:

Advocacy
The Arts Council advocates locally and statewide regarding policy issues and initiatives and also keeps up-to-date on trends, current research, reports, and other issues that may affect regional arts and cultural organizations.

Consultations
Acting as an arts resource agency, the Arts Council makes its staff available for one-on-one consultations and individualized support.

Service and Programs
The Arts Council supports the work of area arts and cultural organizations through special community activities and events, such as Silver Bells in the City, and by holding workshops on topics that are relevant to current needs.

Grants
The Arts Council administers three grant programs that enable eligible arts and cultural groups to create and present arts and cultural programs, events and educational opportunities. They are the Michigan Council for the Arts & Cultural Affairs (MCACA) Minigrant Program, the Ingham County Hotel/Motel Program for Promotional Support, and the City of Lansing Minigrant Program.

Website Directory
An online directory of member arts and cultural organizations is available through the Arts Council’s website to provide the public with an opportunity to search for arts and cultural amenities in our region.

Arts Tickets Community Box Office
A community box office is available to member arts and cultural organizations who seek an outlet for selling tickets to their arts and cultural activities

The Arts Council promotes arts and cultural activities in our region through an information service network that includes our website, an Arts Information Hotline (517.372.4636 x 5), media previews, press releases, relationships with area media outlets, and publications Council Talk and Council News.
