For Organizations
In keeping with our mission of leading, advocating for, and advancing the arts in the capital region, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing provides a number of services for arts and cultural organization members including:

Business Management Services
Arts Council members receive a 50% discount on all business management services including board and executive trainings, accounts payable services, database management, spreadsheet training, development of interactive PDF forms and other management services and tools customized to fit your needs.

Access to Onsite Business Resources
Included within the organization's membership fee, Arts Council members have access to a small meeting space with teleconferencing capability and WiFi as well as access to office equipment including a multi-function copier (limited to 500 copies per year), color and black and white laser printers (limited to 200 copies per year), scanning services, CD and DVD burning, and a computer terminal.  Onsite business resources are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be scheduled in advance.

Opportunity to Access the Arts Tickets Box Office
A virtual community box office and Arts Tickets phone service is available to small to mid-sized member organizations who seek an outlet for selling tickets to their arts and cultural activities.  There is no-risk, no minimum amount of tickets required to sell to participate.  Art Tickets accepts cash, check and credit card charges for MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

Professional Development Services
As an arts resource agency, the Arts Council makes its staff available for group consultations and individualized support. Members also receive invitations to free or low cost special programs, workshops, forums and creative mixers.

Grant Services and Support
The Arts Council provides grant technical assistance to members and administers four grant programs that enable eligible arts and cultural groups to create and present arts and cultural programs, events and educational opportunities. Programs include the Michigan Council for the Arts & Cultural Affairs (MCACA) Minigrant Program, the Ingham County Hotel/Motel Program for Promotional Support, the City of Lansing Minigrant Program, and the Arts Council's Collaborative Grant Program.  Only member organizations are eligible to apply to the Collaborative Arts Grant Program (deadline June 30).  In addition, member organizations have access to Grant Station (searchable grant software) by scheduling an appointment with an Arts Council staff member.

Website Directory
An online directory of member arts and cultural organizations is available through the Arts Council's website to provide the public with an opportunity to search for arts and cultural amenities in our region.

Promotional Support and Communications Services
The Arts Council actively promotes arts and cultural activities in our region through our website calendar, media previews, press releases, interviews and relationships with area media outlets, and via our Council News publication.  Members not only receive up-to-date electronic information regarding legislative efforts, opportunities, employment and other news, but the Arts Council staff is also ready to assist members in drafting their own press releases.

Advocacy
The Arts Council advocates locally and statewide regarding policy issues and initiatives and also keeps up-to-date on trends, current research, reports, and other issues that may affect regional arts and cultural organizations. Members are invited to attend annual legislative visits and also have access to legislator mailing labels / lists for up-to-date mailing needs.
