Annual Giving Campaign Launches

A Letter From George Orban

Dear Friends of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing,

I think we can all agree that we are fortunate to live and work in a community that is home to some of the most creative and dedicated artists and arts organizations in Michigan.  Every day they passionately pursue their individual and collective interests in music, visual art, theatre, dance and literature.  For 51 years, the Arts Council has supported that passion and dedication, providing them a broad range of programs, resources and services in our region.  Without a doubt, we couldn’t do this work without the support of our generous donors.

Today, I ask you to join me by making an annual contribution to continue and strengthen our work.  The Arts Council board members have already stepped up to the plate and all – 100% – have made an annual gift to continue to support, strengthen and promote arts, culture and creativity in the capital region. We hope you will too!

While all gifts are appreciated, near and dear to my heart is membership in the Grand Society.  This is a special circle of supporters and I am proud to say that my wife Rae and I have been members since its inception. Of special note to those wishing to join us in the Grand Society, we have incorporated a few additional benefits that we know might encourage you to join at the $1,000 level.  Two tickets to our spring fundraiser, A Taste of Art & Life and two tickets to Holiday Glitter 2016 as well as special mentions in our promotional materials.  A special pin, created by artist Craig Mitchell Smith, whose international and national success is attributed to his membership in the Arts Council, is also included to signify your membership. Giving at this level can be divided monthly, quarterly or in one full payment.

I’m proud to have been part of the vibrant and diverse arts and cultural life in Mid-Michigan over the past 40 years.  Our lives continue to be enriched by our extraordinarily creative community. We encourage you to join us in supporting the Arts Council in its critical role in maintaining the high quality of life that we enjoy.

To donate, you can stop by the Arts Council office in Old Town, or you can go directly to the website and donate on the secure on-line giving platform at www.www.lansingarts.org/About/Donate.aspx

Your gift is truly appreciated.

Sincerely,

George Orban
