The Arts Council is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming 517 Day and inaugural Lansing Made event hosted by Lansing Made & River Town Adventures! Join us as we host a contest that focuses on, you guessed it…ART!

All you need to do to participate is download the Arts Council’s 517 ARTsearch app from your device’s app store. The app, which has a built-in compass, guides you to art and art spaces all across the region and gives you information about the artist and the history behind the piece of art. All you have to do is press the “Take Me There” button, and you are on your way to art!

Photos and Prizes

Once you start discovering art, we want you to snap a picture (or several) of yourself, friends and family with a piece you love. Then share your photos on social media with the hashtags #517ArtSearch, #LoveLansing and #517Day and tag the Arts Council (@artscouncilgl), and you could win one of several $5.17 gift cards to local businesses.

Post your photos between 5:17 and 6:17 p.m. on 5/17/2018, and you will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for a collection of local art items (valued at $100)!
