Chris Clark Fellowship–Grant Applications and Workshop

Chris Clark Fellowship

Grant Applications and Workshop

Established through a legacy gift to the Arts Council by Lansing native Chris Clark, the Chris Clark Fellowship Program for Creative Professionals supports creative capacity building for individuals such as visual, literary, and performing artists; arts administrators; arts educators; and art students in greater Lansing. The Arts Council is pleased to announce that the 2014 guidelines and application for the program are currently available with proposals due to the Arts Council office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Cash grant reimbursement

The Fellowship provides access to professional development opportunities and business resources through a competitive cash grant reimbursement of up to $1,500. The program provides opportunities for Lansing-area creatives to expand and grow their arts careers. Grantees can use the funds to purchase art materials or tools for their creative endeavours or they can attend educational classes. The funds have the potential to give creatives a step up and position them for future successes in their fields.

Free workshop and consultations

The Arts Council wants to see our members succeed in their efforts, so we happily provide guidance and technical assistance for applicants regarding the application and required accompanying materials. We also encourage all applicants to attend our free workshop on June 5, 2014, which will feature conversations with past Fellows and a step-by-step walk-through of the application guidelines.
