How to Create a Press Kit
A professional press kit is sometimes needed to help promote your work, your talents and your accomplishments. Typically a press kit will contain the following items:
Documentation in your press kit should be geared toward the recipient. Make sure to place all of your items in an attractive folder or package. Do not send originals as your press kit may not be returned to you. If you happened to be mailing your press kit, be sure to send along a nice cover letter that also briefly includes the reason for which you are sending the information. Thank your recipient in advance for their time in reviewing your materials. Suggest in your letter that you will follow up with them to make sure they had a chance to review your materials. Before sending off your press kit, make sure to proof read your letter for any mistakes and make sure your kit contains all of the items necessary.
