“Global Expressions” An Exhibition by the Greater Lansing Global Community

In conjunction with Michigan State University’s Global Festival, which takes place on Nov. 11, 2018, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing is pleased to present “Global Expressions” as their November artist exhibition. “Global Expressions” features the artworks of our Greater Lansing area immigrant, refugee and global-student population, with the goal of highlighting the artists and presenting their perspective to the region.

This exhibition was created in partnership with Joy Shantz (Walter) and Nicole Namy from the Michigan State University Office for International Students & Scholars and Erika Brown Binion and Mariah Shaffer from the Refugee Development Center. They helped connect us to the artists, worked as liaisons and organized the delivery of the art to the Arts Council, and we are very grateful for their participation and support.

The exhibition will feature works by Kexin Lyu, Mei Kiengsiri, Minghao Wang, Zahra Marvi, Bin Zhao, Mia (Zi-Shin) Lin, Arezoo Haji Mohammadi, Emad Issa, Tuerhong Halimulati, Suan Piang and Sarah Hillman.
