The Arts Council Presents: A Taste of Art & Life
Spring Gala to be held in Old Town

The Arts Council of Greater Lansing is excited to present its eighth annual A Taste of Art & Life, a fundraising event to support the arts in our region.

In the heart of Old TownThis year, the event commences on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the home of Arts Council board member Ryan Lowe.

Ryan’s home sits in the heart of Old Town and is the perfect venue for this spring gala. Built in 1873, the former train depot and warehouse has been beautifully transformed into a spacious and sophisticated home.

A must-see design

Combining Zen and minimalist architectural elements with a sleek and flowing open design the high ceilings, detailed columns, unique stone and metal accents and other unique features make it a must-see location.

Celebrating arts and culture, wine and foodOne of our most talked-about events, A Taste of Art & Life welcomes spring and the coming season of arts and cultural activities in the Lansing region, and we look forward to seeing our ever-growing arts community convening and celebrating the arts. The evening offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the work of local artisans while touring the home and open grounds. Arts Council member, Lansing native and singer-song writer Taylor Taylor will provide live music at the event, and Red Haven of Okemos will provide food samplings from their artesian kitchen, including appetizers and desserts. There will also be a variety of wines for the tasting.

Helping us grow the arts and the economy

Funds raised through this event assist the Arts Council in providing continued education, professional development, resources, consulting and funding along with promotional support and services to artists, arts educators and arts organizations in the capital region.  We also help to grow our economy by connecting local artists, cultural organizations and leaders in the arts.
