Read on to learn about membership benefits and how to join.
Join our collective group of arts supporters, artists,
educators, festivals and organizations.
When you join the Arts Council, you become a member of a family and a community that supports and respects the work that you do. Growing that community is at the heart of our mission. The Arts Council exists to support you, and in turn, your membership helps us achieve our mission – to support, strengthen and promote arts, culture and creativity in the capital region.
Your Arts Council membership opens doors to connections; it helps you find your people and grow as a creative and an organization.
New members can join at any time; however, the sooner you join, the more benefits you will be able to receive!
We are committed to providing an exclusive benefit package to our members and providing you the support you need. We look forward to welcoming you as a member of our arts family and look forward to working with you in the years to come.
There is a membership for
everyone, and each has individual additional benefits, listed below. To join
you must be an artist, arts organization or creative who resides in Ingham,
Clinton, or Eaton counties.
NOTE: Membership in all categories is based on the calendar year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31).
Pay What You Can option
We understand that you may have a financial barrier that prevents you from becoming a member of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing. If you are an individual Artist, Educator, Creative Entrepreneur, or Arts & Cultural Organization with a budget under $25,000, we invite you to pay what you can for membership. Donating any amount supports the work of the Arts Council to provide things like:
- unlimited event listings in the online arts calendar
-complimentary Creative Mixers and networking opportunities, and
-access to research, job opportunities, funding alerts, reports, surveys and more through the Arts Council website.
If you wish to pay-what-you-can for membership, please use the "other" option to fill in the amount you want to pay. If you wish to pay zero dollars for your membership, please email Taylor Haslett at email@example.com.
To join online, click the "become a member or renew" buttons above. If you'd prefer another method, please see below.
Please note, given COVID restrictions, staff members are not frequently in the office. The following list of alternative ways to sign up are in order to preferred method.
