There is nothing particularly extraordinary about the Okemos High School band room, and yet even still, it resembles something of a sanctuary, with its tall ceilings angled slightly at the top where streams of light filter in from the windows. The music stands and chairs are arranged in the style of a thrust, so that the conductor is the primary focus of the room.
