Arts Council Creative Mixer is Williamston Bound!
Join us at the Williamston Theatre and Fireworks Glass
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21 - 5-7pm
As many of you know, we have taken our creative mixers on the road, visiting our members studios and places of business and letting them serve as co-hosts to these popular events.
Stroll and mingle
With fall in the air, what more perfect an evening than to stroll the streets of Williamston, stop at Williamston Theatre for a little mix and mingle and then a visit to Fireworks Glass Studio to warm up a bit and see glassmakers in action.
Meet our Hosts
The Arts Council is proud to have Williamston Theatre and Fireworks Glass as longtime members of our organization--representing a long list of Williamston area artists and arts organizations. The theatre, which recently won the prestigious American Theatre Wing 2014 National Theatre Company Award has been wowing audiences with their productions since its early beginnings in 2004. Fireworks Glass was founded by Dave Porter in 2007, and he and fellow artist Rhonda Baker can be found blowing glass at the studio nearly everyday. There is also a storefront at the studio where they sell their wares.
We are excited to make the trip to Williamston on Tuesday, October 21 and tour these diverse and exciting venues, and we invite everyone to join us for an evening of fun, food, frolic and a little fire! As always, our Creative Mixers are free of charge and open to everyone far and wide!
The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. We will begin the evening at the Williamston Theatre at 122 S. Putnam St. for a tour of the facility, light appetizers and wine provided by Porter Family Vinyard of Napa Valley, a generous donation from Fireworks and Dave's family.
Throughout the evening, guests are invited to cross the street to Fireworks, where Dave and Rhonda will demonstrate glass-blowing techniques and show off their wares. Everyone is free to venture back and forth between venues.
Please make sure to register for this event so we know who we are expecting, and to ensure we have enough food and drink to go around. We look forward to seeing you all there!
