Volunteers Needed for Spring Event at Turner-Dodge House

Help Support the Arts Council at This Fun-draising Event

Our spring fundraiser, A Taste of Art & Life is just around the corner, and we are looking for volunteers! If you are free on Thursday, May 28, from 5-8 p.m. we have a great gig for you!

Good times

This popular event is one of the Arts Council’s major fundraisers and is attended by more than 200 people each year. Our 2015 event includes food by Red Haven, sweets by Whipped Bakery, wine from the Old Town General Store and music by Drew Howard. As a volunteer, you can enjoy it all while helping with set up, registration, food service, wine pouring and other tasks as needed.

Registration and set up

We need a few volunteers who can arrive a little early, help get linens on tables, set up bars and food tables and get the registration area ready for guests. If you work the registration table during the event, you will help guests with name tags and drink tickets.

Servers and pourers

If you enjoy people and have a little service experience, you can sign up to pour wine and pass trayed appetizers. Servers will be working with Red Haven staff and will help pass food, keep tables clean and monitor food tables and guest areas, making sure they are free of trash. Pourers will work behind the bar areas pouring wine for guests, collecting drink tickets, stocking wine etc. (Pourers must be at least 21 years old.)

Shifts

Volunteer shifts will be between 1-3 hours, depending on the task and your availability. Ideally volunteers can stay for the full three hours. Breaks will be provided so everyone has time to enjoy the event.
