Learn more about our Young Creatives Program
This program creates opportunities for students and teachers in the Greater Lansing area school districts to work side-by-side with teaching artists in a selected art form such as music, dance, theatre, and/or the visual arts, where they will experience the rigors of a specific discipline and its full artistic process.
This program is paused until further notice.
Each March, during National Youth Arts Month, the Arts Council supports young creatives and arts education with our Young Creatives Billboards campaign. The project features the artwork of up to 6 tri-county area students in K-12th grade, on digital billboards across Greater Lansing.

View PSAsThe Arts Council has created an expansive program for youth in the tri-county area, officially launching the Young Creatives Program in April 2014. The program offers five key components to support arts and arts education for our young creatives.
Our valuable work to recognize and support emerging talent has also been recognized by Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. We want to thank them for their generous financial support that will help fund printing, marketing, expanded scholarships and other associated program costs.
We are committed to growing the Young Creatives Program and providing more creative opportunities and outlets for area youth. We hope that you will take advantage of all the creative, innovative and affordable art programs that are offered in our community!
