ABOUT MICHELLE WEINFELD-GELLER
Michelle joined the Arts Council in 2022. Born and raised in the Greater Lansing community, she is obsessed with seeing her hometown thrive. Having a servant's heart, she listens with the intent to understand by bringing empathy to the conversation. She believes we are stronger together and that listening to what a community and culture need, helps us accomplish positive results and work through the hard things. Michelle has a deep passion for many things, but coffee, confetti, MSU football and Disney are her love languages. She also has an appreciation for nature, so you can often find her with her family, exploring the different parks and trails Lansing has to offer, and most likely with a cup of coffee in her hand. Having grown up in the area, Michelle understands deeply the way art impacts a city and its culture. It provides a deeper sense of belonging and a place to call home for artists leaving a lasting impact on an ever-growing and ever-changing community. She is thrilled to be a part of the Arts Council team and to be involved in something bigger than herself that will long outlast her time here.
Favorite Art Forms: Specifically, anything music-related, live theater and pottery. Being able to see people share their stories and be creative through their art in any form is also a favorite.
