Buy Art, Support Local Artists and Area Young Creatives

For the second year in a row, the Arts Council is excited to announce the launch of its 32 Auction site to raise funds for its Young Creatives Program. The site features 19 pieces of work created by area artists that will be up for bid during the month of March 2020.

Young Creatives

In  its sixth year, Young Creatives is an umbrella program that provides a variety of services to area youth, including the Arts Council’s Young Creatives Guide, a resource for finding opportunities for regional youth arts programming; the Artists-in-Residence Program, which works to place teaching artists in Greater Lansing area school district classrooms; and Young Creatives Grants for arts and cultural organizations that help under served youth attend arts programs.

The Art

The 32 Auction site is an online platform where art lovers can shop and purchase art from local artists, with 30 percent of the sale going to the artist and the remainder going to support the Arts Council’s Young Creatives Program. The pieces are works that have been donated to the Arts Council through various auction and fundraising efforts and through the City Pulse Summer of Art Series, which features the work of area artists on the covers of the weekly City Pulse news.
